Councils
ULI Los Angeles is a member-led organization committed to providing high-quality programs and projects to the region’s land use professionals. Members can get involved by attending any of our local events or by becoming active with one of our local committees or product councils.
WHAT IS A LOCAL PRODUCT COUNCIL:
Local Product Councils are based on the National Product Council program – but operate at the District Council level.
The goal is to create a topically focused, multidisciplinary group of mid and senior-level professionals involved in a specific facet of real estate who commit to meet on a regular basis, develop trusted connections and share best practices. These Councils provide a forum for information exchange among peers on the “state of the art” within the development field.

Homelessness Initiative Council (HIC)
Take action to alleviate the homeless crisis in Southern California and address interconnected topics such as the affordable housing shortage, slow deployment, and lack of integrated services.
The Homelessness Initiative Council is made up of key senior leaders in ULI Los Angeles who help set our strategic direction and priorities. The unprecedented crisis of homelessness in Southern California requires an emergency response. HIC is taking the lead on the District Council’s program focused on Homelessness. This culminates in an annual, regional summit that addresses the homeless crisis and interconnected topics such as the affordable housing shortage. Event date: June 2024.
Educates and informs housing industry leaders by developing and sharing solutions addressing the housing challenges facing the region.

Support members on their journey to becoming the best, most effective leaders they can be through deepening their understanding of leadership skills and dynamics.
The goal of the Leadership Council is to create an environment for engaged sharing and learning to elevate each member’s leadership effectiveness in his or her business, community, and personal life. This increased awareness and insight into each member’s leadership capabilities will also affect how he or she performs on or in any team, project, endeavor, or relationship.
Explores the advances in mobility technology and infrastructure that impact our cities.
This Council grew out of the ToLA Committee that focused on ULI LA’s annual signature event. The Mobility Council will create programs and events for piloting and implementing creative mobility solutions that reduce congestion, create less stress on the environment, help attract and retain top talent, and help elevate the mobility experience.
