On the evening of May 19, 2022, ULI Los Angeles presented its inaugural Asian Pacific Heritage Month Celebration Panel to a packed audience. The program’s theme was Visibility of Asians in Commercial Real Estate and featured an esteemed panel of prominent industry leaders of Asian heritage.
The distinguished panel included Goodwin Gaw – Founder, Chairman, and Managing Principal of Gaw Capital Partners, Lily Kao – Managing Director of AEW Capital Management, Robert Jue – Co-Founder and CEO of Standard Real Estate Investments, and was expertly moderated by Ada Chan – Senior Vice President of Bank of America. Notably, all the speakers are active ULI members at various global, national, and local levels.
In an engaging and lively conversation, the panelists shared experiences from their careers, insights on the industry’s ESG initiatives with respect to hiring, investments, and capital raising, as well as real-world advice on building successful careers and making a positive impact. The audience was inspired by the dialogue and expressed appreciation for the panel’s candor and wisdom. Additionally, the panelists highlighted how to make the most of the ULI membership throughout one’s career journey. Several special guests attended the event, including incoming ULI Americas Chair Clare De Briere, ULI Americas Executive Committee Member Michael Banner, and ULI Los Angeles Chair Allison Lynch.
Creating and promoting a diverse commercial real estate industry is a ULI priority. ULI Los Angeles will continue to highlight, foster, and celebrate diversity in our organization, industry, and communities.
