July 20, 2023
Dear ULI Los Angeles,
As of July 1st, ULI Los Angeles starts it’s new fiscal year and because of your commitment and hard work, it has been another engaging, impactful, and thoughtful year of meetings, programs, and events. There is a bittersweet transition that took place on that date, as well. It marks the completion of Allison Lynch’s tenure as our District Council Chair (July 2021 – June 2023) and Ryan Altoon’s beginning as the new Chair (July 2023 – June 2025).
We are so thankful for Allison’s leadership over these past two years. Her vision, professionalism, and insights helped us grow as an organization as we continued to enhance our mission locally and nationally. It was no easy feat to help guide us through the end of the pandemic as she, our members, and staff worked to meet your expectations for relevant programming and opportunities to engage, learn, and connect.
As Ryan takes over the leadership role as our new Chair, we look forward to making ULI Los Angeles the preeminent regional real estate organization providing inclusive and trusted thought leadership programming, content, and convenings that influence the public, private, and nonprofit worlds of land use in our region.
Our 18 Committees and Councils have provided us with programs and events that help keep ULI-LA (Urban Land Institute Los Angeles Chapter) the top-of-mind organization in our region’s real estate community.
Here are just a few of ULI LA’s impact and achievements:
We have a lot to look forward to for FY24. From October 30th-November 2nd, ULI Los Angeles will be welcoming all the ULI family to our Fall Meeting here in Los Angeles.
We welcome you to be a part of tomorrow’s ULI LA success and recognize that ULI LA has an important voice in the leadership of our built environment. Because of your support, involvement, and activation, our District Council has a bright future. Together we can continue to tackle the issues and bring conversation, solutions, and innovation that will make our cities better.
Best,
Marty Borko
ULI Los Angeles Executive Director
