Mindfulness: enhances clarity, focus, and judgment; enables more skillful decision-making; improves communication and interpersonal relationships; and fosters greater quality of life.” Jeremy Hunter, PhD.

We live in a world that is experiencing enormous changes, but what skills do you have to effectively face these shifts? This 2-session program explores frameworks and practices for how we address change. We will explore 3-stages of transition, assess where you are in the transition process and what are the necessary efforts to traverse this process.

We will explore the following questions in a stimulating, supportive and enjoyable learning environment:

  • When life changes, how do you engage it? Do you push it away? Relish it as an opportunity? Adapt to it and make it work?
  • What do you do to foster adapting to change?
  • What do you let go of? Learn to do differently?
  • How do you manage the stuff that goes on in your head?
  • How do you manage fear and anxiety that comes with change and produce a productive result, let alone enjoy life?

Presenter:

  • Jeremy Hunter, Ph.D., Founding Director and Associate Professor of Practice, Executive Mind Leadership Institute, Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont University

For over a decade, Jeremy has helped leaders develop themselves while retaining their humanity in the face of monumental change and challenge. He created and teaches The Executive Mind, a series of demanding and transformative executive education programs. They are dedicated to Peter Drucker’s assertion that “You cannot manage other people unless you manage yourself first.” He also co-leads the Leading Mindfully Executive Education program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.

Jeremy’s Leadership and Mindfulness course was a total game-changer for me. From kick-starting my daily meditation routine to giving me the courage to schedule my first real vacation with my family in years, the most tangible take-away for me was the importance of scheduling time to reset and recharge on a daily, weekly, quarterly and yearly basis. With a whole arsenal of tools to avoid “burn out,” I now feel so much better equipped to deal with the stress and anxiety of the daily grind. As if that wasn’t enough, the structure and subject matter of Jeremy’s course offered a unique and truly rewarding networking opportunity, encouraging authentic connections with other real estate professionals over the universal challenges of trying to succeed in an increasingly chaotic world.

These were just a few of the questions I had when I enrolled in Jeremy Hunter’s ULI series on Mindfulness. By the end of the series I had been given tools to achieve a quieter mind and a greater presence. I am looking forward to more.

  • How to quiet my mind?
  • How to be present?
  • What does it mean to lead a balanced life?
  • What does it mean to be “mindful?”
  • I’m wide awake at 2:00a.m! Is there a tool to help me go back to sleep?

BBK invested in Mindfulness with Jeremy Hunter to help provide its partners the tools to cope with the nonstop pace of modern legal practice. It proved to be such a positive and compelling experience that we made mindfulness available to all attorneys and staff. For our firm, it has created a common language and shared experiences that allows for more creative problem-solving, more productive working hours, and perhaps most importantly a deeper and more authentic relationship with each other and ourselves.

Jeremy Hunter delivered our keynote speech with such impact that the room of Board Members and Administrators from all over the state was absolutely mesmerized!  Jeremy has a way to getting in to your inner mind and body to deliver a new perspective on how to live your life. Moments after his powerfully moving presentation, all the delegates were talking about being “mindful” and “present.” This trance lasted the entire conference and influenced every session afterward – the ideal effect! Jeremy’s session was so potent, I hired him back as a featured Power Seminar presenter immediately.
