StimULI Breakfast: The Grand – Redefining Grand Ave and Downtown Los Angeles
One of LA’s most transformative developments, The Grand – the $1 billion, Frank Gehry-designed mixed-use project being developed by Related Companies across from the Disney Concert Hall – reached a significant milestone this month when it broke ground. The project is the result of a collaborative public-private partnership and is being hailed as the centerpiece and culmination of the vision to transform Grand Avenue into a leading cultural and entertainment destination of the world.
Just as importantly, the stakeholders of the project want The Grand to be an accessible, diverse and thriving center for the community that connects residents from across the city and county of Los Angeles to downtown. The project includes a 39-story residential tower that has 20% set aside for affordable housing, a 20-story tower that will house an Equinox Hotel, and 176,000 square feet of retail, restaurant and entertainment space designed across multiple levels around a central plaza, that all looks out towards Grand Avenue and Disney Hall. The project will also be within one-block proximity to Metro’s Regional Connector.
ULI Los Angeles is pleased to present an exceptional event featuring a number of the key leaders of the project who will share with us their vision, experiences and insights as well as a first-hand update on the project’s plan and progress. You are invited to join us for a compelling conversation on this phenomenal, transformative development.
