A review of strategies aimed at creating biotechnology clusters in inner city Los Angeles, including the USC Biomed Research Park in Boyle Heights and at the new MLK Medical Center in Watts-Willowbrook.  The panel will examine inner city biotech success stories in Roxbury, Massachusetts and East Baltimore, Maryland and the lessons learned in these cities that are applicable to Los Angeles.  An overarching question is whether Los Angeles can grow a biotech cluster capable of competing with San Diego, the Bay Area, and Boston/Cambridge.
