What is UrbanPlan:
- UrbanPlan is an engaging interactive exercise in which participants learn the fundamental forces that affect development in their communities by answering an RFP with their team.
- Teams experience challenging issues, private and public sector roles, complex trade-offs, and fundamental economics in play when proposing realistic land use solutions to vexing growth challenges
- UrbanPlan's goal is to demystify land-use dynamics and complexities and assist participants in becoming more effective citizens and professionals as they approach potential development in their communities.
- UrbanPlan spotlights careers and opportunities in the land use world. It is an opportunity to build the pipeline to talent in YOUR industry of real estate.
Agenda:
- 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Volunteer Training
- 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Mixer (light food and beverage will be provided)
Volunteer Training:
- Highly interactive session that will prepare you to volunteer at future UrbanPlan programs.
- Please be prepared to stay for the full duration of the training (until 5:00 PM).
- Participants should complete a 90-minute on-demand UrbanPlan Volunteer Training to confirm their spot on the March 13th session.
Mixer:
- The mixer is open to all newly trained volunteers, existing volunteers, UrbanPlan Committee members, and anyone interested in UrbanPlan!
Parking and Logistics:
- On-site parking is available at 444 S. Flower for $20 with validation at meeting.
- Parking entrance is off Flower before 5th Street. Drive to the valet station. Take the elevator to the main lobby and walk to the security desk where a separate elevator will take you to The Gallery (2nd floor).
