Blockchain technology is going to revolutionize commercial real estate by changing the way we invest, borrow, lend and rent. The MASTERCLASS will introduce students to different blockchain technologies and their use cases.

This course introduces various blockchain technologies and how they will fundamentally change commercial real estate. Students will understand how these technologies work and how they can improve the buying, lending and rental process.

Upon completion of the course, you will…
  1. Fundamentally understand different types of blockchain technology like tokens, NFTs, smart contracts and DeFi.
  2. Discover new commercial real estate investment opportunities via fractionalization of debt and equity.
  3. Source new capital markets opportunities for commercial real estate projects by leveraging decentralized finance.
  4. Understand smart contracts and how they can streamline the rental and purchasing process.
  5. Join a cohort of driven and entrepreneurial real estate professionals interested in emerging technologies.

  1. Be able to tokenize and underwrite token offering into deal capital stack
  2. Understand where and how to invest in tokenized real estate
  3. Experience to start sourcing DeFi debt solutions via platforms and protocols
  4. Recognize blockchain data providers and platform value adds

Course Breakdown:
Session 1: On-Chain Real Estate Data
  • The first lesson plan will be about how bringing data on-chain can open up access to DeFi and a transparent data layer with practical operational and administrative efficiencies.
  • Topics Include: Titles, Deeds, Insurance, Securities Regulation
Guest Speakers:

Session 2: Fractional (Tokenized) Real Estate
  • The second lesson will be understanding how tokenization works, what it is and how it fits within a real estate deal.
  • Topics Include: Crowdfunding, Debt, Equity, Capital Markets

Session 3: Commercial real estate lending via DeFi
  • Commercial real estate lending via crypto rails will provide access to DeFi and operational efficiencies making the securitization lending processes easier.
  • Topics Include: DeFi, Debt, Banking, Capital Stack

Session 4: Smart Contracts in Commercial Real Estate
  • Smart contracts have the potential to revolutionize the way commercial real estate agreements work from renting to insurance and purchasing.
  • Topics Include: Operations, Leasing, Property Management

Attendance is encouraged for every session, but we understand conflicts arise unexpectedly.
