Are women in real estate thriving? Is there room at the top for more female leaders? Should I stay or should I go?

Whether you are managing your career from the inside out or from outside in, looking to stay on your career path or venture out on your own, this ULI-LA program will bring insight and tools to help you be your own boss wherever you curate your career. Join this informative panel discussion and presentation to learn the facts behind the 2020 study on Gender and Diversity in Commercial Real Estate and what free resources are available to bring your business idea to life and pave a new business path.

CREW Network’s CEO, Wendy Mann, CAE, will start the program with a presentation on the 2020 study to measure progress for women and benchmark diversity in commercial real estate. Her presentation provides critical industry data and insights, including the factors that influence career satisfaction and success.

Next, you’ll hear from several City and State organizations and nonprofits that offer no-fee, high-quality business and economic development assistance to startups, new businesses, and growing businesses. Established to help entrepreneurs and businesses in California succeed, the advisory services of Go-Biz, the Los Angeles Office of Finance, and the Pacific Coast Regional Small Business Development Center will cover how they will personally work with you on subjects such as:

    • business tax registration certificate setup
    • incentive identification
    • site selection
    • regulatory or permitting compliance
    • business planning
    • financial projections
    • exploratory funding and financial packaging
    • contract negotiations
    • market identification
    • cash flow management and more!

During this time of rapid shifts in our world, ULI-LA wants to support entrepreneurs and self-starters with the information and tools they need to bolster their ambitions and set off on a new professional path. This panel will be part of a broader effort to support women and the entrepreneur community by connecting them with the resources and organizations needed to uplift their visions.
