Ari Kahan is a Principal at California Landmark Group, Head of Acquisitions, Design, Entitlement and Co-Head of Development. He also serves on the firm’s IMC (Investment and Management Committee), helping guide the company into the 21st century. An LA native, Ari graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a BBA in Real Estate Finance. Ari began his career at Fortress Investment Group, and subsequently launched the restaurant group Mainland Poke Shop, reinventing and popularizing the Hawaiian concept of Poke on a global scale, where he was recognized in “30 under 30” for the new restaurant field. Ari has over 10 years of experience in a wide variety of real estate private equity and development transactions as both a sponsor and investor in a large array of asset classes. A pension for charity drives Ari to give back by serving on the boards of a charter school, a private Jewish high school and a variety of food related charitable ventures.

Hailing from South Carolina, Dawn Williams was recently selected as the Project Manager for United Dwelling Inc., a company specializing in ADUs. Prior to her new role, Dawn was a land use planning consultant that included many projects including a 15 unit townhome style apartment building in Riverside, CA. Dawn began her career in law as a graduate of Emory University School of Law in 2009 and later traversed to Los Angeles where she taught law, ethics, criminal justice at a local college and performed stand-up at night. Dawn's undergraduate background is Philosophy and Political Science with a minor in Latin Studies from a private liberal arts school, Furman University, in South Carolina. Dawn began her career in land use in late 2016 with the Code Solution, a company specializing in density bonus builds in Koreatown. Later, she would work for a private developer that was interested in all affordable housing solutions for his 22 unit building also located in Koreatown.  In 2018, Dawn joined Planning Associates, Inc. with Tom Stemnock, former zoning administrator for the City of Los Angeles, at his private land use consulting firm where she worked on mixed use, commercial, condo and multifamily residential builds. As the Project Manager for United Dwelling Inc, she will be working with the company to achieve 60 unit builds a month and hopefully, beyond.

Patrick Tighe, FAIA, FAAR is one of Los Angeles’ preeminent architects and interior designers.   The highly acclaimed namesake firm, Tighe Architecture, is committed to creating an authentic, contemporary Architecture informed by technology, sustainability and building innovation. The work of Patrick Tighe Architecture has been published extensively and exhibited Internationally. Patrick Tighe was awarded the prestigious Rome Prize in Architecture, is a Fellow of the American Academy and The MacDowell Colony. A monograph of the firm entitled “Building Dichotomy” was released in 2016. Tighe is a professor at the University of Southern California, was inducted into the Interior Design Hall of Fame and was named one of the Top 50 Architects in the country by Architect Magazine

JB is the head of business development for the West Region at Common. Leveraging his background in construction, finance, and operations, JB's focus is building partnerships with Multifamily owners and investors to bring best-in-class property management to residential properties throughout the U.S. He has helped build out Common's managed property portfolio in Los Angeles, Common's fastest growing market, across conventional apartments, coliving, micro, and workforce housing. Prior to Common, JB worked at Madison Realty Capital and US Bank as part of their construction and bridge lending group.
