ULI Los Angeles: Movers and Shakers with Faisal Roble – Chief Equity Officer, L.A. City Planning Department
Please join the ULI Programs Committee for our first “Movers and Shakers” event of 2021 as we feature and honor Faisal Roble, the first Chief Equity Officer named by LA City Planning, the largest planning department in the United States. Roble, in this newly-created position, is spearheading racial justice efforts within the Department and will join us to discuss his new role addressing implicit bias in City Planning policies and outreach, and helping craft City Planning’s Racial Equity Action Plan that will better guide diverse outreach and engagement that informs 35 distinct communities during the City Planning process. In addition, Roble and his team will work well into the future around promoting citywide diversity and equity, augmenting the important work in partnership with the mayor’s office.
