Join the ULI-LA Innovation Council for a webinar on innovations such as wearable smart technology, construction robot rovers, green concrete, and mass timber. Speakers from Microsoft, Suffolk, DPR Construction, and Kilroy Realty Corporation will provide insights on how such efficiencies both drive value and reduce carbon emissions.

    Marta Schantz is the Senior Vice President for the Greenprint Center for Building Performance at the Urban Land Institute, a worldwide alliance of real estate owners committed to improving the environmental performance of theindustry – reducing carbon, and increasing building value. Before her time at ULI, Marta worked at Waypoint Energy, Booz Allen Hamilton, and the US Dept. of Energy.

    Katie leads Sustainability for Microsoft's Real Estate portfolio and is responsible for developing and implementing sustainability strategy for their offices around the world. Katie's career has been dedicated to the adoption of high performance, healthy, sustainable buildings. She oversees sustainability strategy for Microsoft's new campuses including Puget Sound, Israel, Silicon Valley, and works with global sites to implement operational best practices. She prides herself on being a 'sustainability translator' – ensuring that Microsoft's employees and the public understand the nuances and importance of sustainability topics.

    As the East Coast Innovation Leader with DPR’s Corporate Innovation Group, Tim Gaylord helps drive DPR’s “Ever Forward” culture. He has been involved with project technology implementation and cost estimation across DPR’s core markets. Tim works cross-functionally to implement short- and long-term strategies that provide direction on how innovations move through various stages of development that align with DPR’s goal to increase efficiency in construction, bringing value to customers.

    Kilroy Realty Corporation

    Sara Neff is Senior Vice President, Sustainability at Kilroy Realty Corporation. At Kilroy, she oversees all sustainability initiatives such as solar and battery deal making, the implementation of energy and water efficiency initiatives throughout the existing and development portfolios, the integration of sustainability standards into annual financial reports, the launch of the Kilroy Innovation Lab, and the award-winning green leasing program. She holds a BS from Stanford and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
     
    Erin Khan
    Construction Solutions Director
    Suffolk

    Erin Khan is the Los Angeles CoLab Director at Suffolk Construction, where she applies over seven years of construction industry expertise to drive operational excellence through data analytics, process innovation, and technology in the Southern California region. Prior to her current role at Suffolk, Erin served as a Senior Project Engineer, where she was staffed on landmark Los Angeles renovation projects such as the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and USC Heritage Hall.
