StimULI Breakfast: The Future of Southern California Healthcare Real Estate – SOLD OUT!
Nearly 1 in 5 of every dollars in the United States is spent on healthcare, and that amount continues to grow. It is no surprise that the physical process of providing medical services is having an enormous impact on our built environment. Additionally, the actual settings for healthcare are changing rapidly, driven by both patient demands and payment dynamics. Patients are seeking friendlier environments, forcing medical care providers to design and build newer, warmer facilities, whether on health care campuses or at distributed local offices. Political shifts at the federal level, first toward and then away from the Affordable Care Act, and the responses by state governments have required healthcare providers and insurers alike to be nimble.
To chart these changes and anticipate next steps, ULI LA has assembled a panel of experts to address this major sector of the Southern California real estate economy. Our panel includes a director of real estate for a major hospital and healthcare system; a senior vice president at CBRE who heads up their Southern California healthcare real estate practice group; and a senior planner with substantial experience in designing all types of medical facilities. An experienced healthcare and real estate attorney will serve as the moderator. The panel will address how the healthcare and real estate industries are making decisions about what, where, and how to build in this fluid marketplace.

Parking will not be validated. It has come to our attention that Westfield Century City may no longer be a viable option, as we understand that the parking authorities are threatening to ticket/tow individuals who exit the mall. The cheapest closest option is SP PLUS Parking at 10131 Constellation Blvd (between Century Park East and Avenue of the Stars) at $16.
